Confidence Chronicles: Poetry Contest

Calling all creative thinkers! How do you step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself to reach your goals? What thoughts, emotions, and actions come to mind?​

Now, get ready to tell us all about it in a poem!

The objective of the Confidence Chronicles Poetry Contest is to promote creative thinking and encourage teens to discover healthy ways to challenge themselves for personal growth and goal achievement.

We challenge you to write a poem about how challenging yourself or stepping outside of your comfort zone can help you achieve your goals. Submit one of the following forms of poetry to be eligible to win:​

  • Haiku​

  • Free verse​

  • Sonnet​

  • Concrete poem​

  • Blank verse​

  • Limerick​

  • Acrostic

Contest Opens

The Confidence Chronicles Poetry Contest opens on Monday, August 16th at 12:00pm Eastern Time. To enter the contest and be eligible to win, follow these requirements:
  • Follow @WeThinkTwice on Instagram.
  • All participants must be between 13 to 19 years of age.
  • Each participant can only submit one entry.
  • Submit your poem to the Contest Entry Application.

Contest Closes

Time’s up! August 23rd is the last day to submit your entry for the “Confidence Chronicles: We Think Twice Poetry Contest.” Everyone who submitted an entry will be grouped based on age (13 to 15, and 16 to 19), and winners will be selected by a panel of teen judges.

Winners Announced

The panel of teen judges will select two winners from each age category for 1st to 4th place. 
  • 1st place winners will receive a $75 gift card.
  • 2nd place winners will receive a $50 gift card.
  • 3rd place winners will receive a $25 gift card.
  • 4th place will receive a $15 gift card.
All winners will receive a printable certificate along with their rewards!
